Interesting and timely information to enhance your Tahoe lifestyle

Happy New Year 2018!

By Michelle Portesi.

It’s the end of another frenzied holiday season, and as usual, I just couldn’t keep up.  But it’s a brand new year, and along with all of those New Year’s Resolutions like exercising more and eating more healthily, one should be for all of us to get out there more and enjoy everything that our area has to offer. After all, mental health is important too!

Towards that end, our January Events Calendar is up, and I hope you have a chance to partake in some of these experiences. Just click on the link below to view whats happening in January.

One event to look forward to is the hit Broadway play Kinky Boots playing at the Pioneer Center in downtown Reno. The play is the winner of six Tony Awards® including BEST MUSICAL. Inspired by a true story, the play features a joyous,Tony-winning score by CYNDI LAUPER, direction and Tony-winning choreography by JERRY MITCHELL and a hilarious, uplifting book by four-time Tony winner HARVEY FIERSTEIN. The Pioneer Center is a wonderful venue to see any performance, as it’s an intimate theater for which there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. And as much of the River Walk area near the Pioneer has been revitalized, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from to grab a bite before the performance and make a fun day of it.

I’ve also been dying to try one of the Cedar House’s pop up dinners at Stella in Truckee, but I seem to just be waaaaay too busy this time of year. They have several different themes for January including Persian Night and an Evening in Paris dinners – and they’re selling out fast. Why not consider treating yourself to one? (And I’d love to live vicariously through you if you do!) You deserve it if you worked anywhere near as hard as I did during the Christmas holidays! www.shop.cedarhousesporthotel.com
